Hen Parties FAQs

Is there a minimum number of attendees to take part?

You need a minimum of 8 people taking part to book a class.

I don't know exactly how many people will be attending yet. Can I still book?

Of course you can. We understand that when planning hen parties, there is an element of asking people for availability. When you book, just give us an estimate. We don't need final numbers until 4 weeks before your class.

Where will the party take place?

It will take place in a dance studio or venue local to you. Either you can arrange this yourself, or we can organise a venue for you at no additional cost.

How long does a party last?

Our standard party lasts 90 minutes. We can offer longer lessons, subject to discussion and agreement with the First Dance Company.

What should we wear for our class?

Fancy dress is always a fun and popular choice, but ultimately wear what you all feel comfortable in. It is worth remembering that dance involves physical movement, so nothing too tight or restrictive, and definitely no stiletto heels!

Can we drink alcohol during our session?

No. Dance is a physical sport, and adding alcohol to the mix can lead to health and safety issues, both for the teacher and other members of the hen party. However, the bride will be presented with a complimentary bottle of bubbly at the end of the lesson.

The First Dance Company reserves the right to refuse entry to anybody who is not in a fit condition to take part in the class due to being overly inebriated. This will result in you being ineligible for a refund.

Can we take photos and videos?

As long as everybody in the hen party is happy, of course you can. Your teacher will also be happy to take photos on your phones for you.
