ABOUT THE FIRST DANCE COMPANY

The First Dance Company is a fresh new company delivering high quality teachers and choreographers to you for your special day.

No request is too big or small - everyone wants something different for their wedding and therefore for their first dance also. You can be as simple or as imaginative as you like!

All our teachers are highly trained and experienced professionals. They have vast experiences of teaching, choreographing and performing dance of various styles. Each person is capable of bringing something extra special to your first dance.

MY BACKGROUND

I trained in Musical Theatre at The Urdang Academy, London, having first started to dance when I was two years old.

I am lucky enough to have had a long and varied performing career which has taken me around the world! I have worked as a dancer and singer on land in the UK and abroad, and for many prestigious cruise lines. I now work as a choreographer for shows, pantomime, cruise ships and more.

I first started teaching when I was 15, and have had the pleasure of working with children and adults of all ages and abilities teaching them a variety of styles of dance. Having experience of couples preparing for their wedding, I founded The First Dance Company in the winter of 2008 with the aim to provide a wonderful experience for couples planning their big day, and wanting the first dance to be really special.

Not only do we want to get rid of those first dance nerves and create wonderful dancers (!), we want you to find enjoyment in dance - whatever style, make the most of some quality time together, and maybe even discover a new hobby!

I have never yet met anyone who can't dance and truly believe anyone can do it with the right teacher and the willingness to try.

Your wedding day is a truly magical experience and I hope we can be part of making it even more memorable!
